Market Update: Indices
US500 break of 7808 (high 7820) breaks down momentum but to make a run at the 7845 record high, 7800-08 needs to become support to keep a bid. Otherwise, a lower high (7833) will still be on the chart.
NAS100 not confirming with 31145 needing to be taken out for a break of down momentum. Otherwise, set of lower hiohs bstays on the chart. In any case, NAS’ history of short-lived retracements followed by new highs will be put to the test.

BTCUSD vs. ETHUSD
BTCUSD: Saved by the pause above 80K but would need to move back above 83500 to negate the risk and shift it back to 85K.
ETHUSD: Paused just above 2400 (and a 2352 target) but bounce would need to move above 2500-15 to cool the risk and then above 2560-85 to shift it the other way.

USDCAD 4 HOUR – Waiting for the jobs report
For the lower high to build momentum 1.4200 would need to be broken.
If not, it holds as the bottom of a 1.4200-1.4300 range where the uptrend is consolidating.
Next key focus: Sept jobs report

USDJPY DAILY: 7 days in a row
Diverging today, down vs. the USD while others trade up, indicating JPY crosses continue to help pin it in a range.
Same chart as yesterday except trade on both sides of 158 extended to 7 days in a row, currently trading above it.
As noted, the longer this pattern goes on the greater the risk of as directional breakout once it is broken.

XAUUSD (GOLD) 4 HOUR: Range or reversal?
Move above 4184 breaks down momentum but needs to become support and then see 4227 broken to build serious momentum the other way.
If not, then it may be back to a 4100-4200 range.
Price action shows GOLD’s sensitivity to US yields (which have ticked up today after falling sharply yesterday).

EURUSD 1 HOUR: Is low in or just a retracement?
Trying to build siome upoward momentum off the low and holding its bid while above 1.12.
Faces layers of resistance at 1.1263/68/77 ahead of the key 1.1285 level, only above the latter would suggest more than a retracement.
High so far: 1.1243. Above 1.1250 would be needed to put the resistance zone in play.
