US holiday on Friday
U.S. financial markets, including the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq, are closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. Normal trading hours (9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET) will resume on Monday, June 22.
A breakdown of key market and financial closures:
Stock Markets: Both the NYSE and Nasdaq will be closed for the entire day. No regular equity trading will take place.
Bond Markets: The U.S. bond market is also closed for the holiday.
Banking & Federal Reserve: Since it is a federal holiday, all non-essential federal offices are closed. Most national and local banks follow the Federal Reserve’s holiday schedule and will be closed.
