EURUSD came with a pip of 1.0871 resistance before reversing to come within a haor of redent 1.2825 support.

Note how 1.0850 is setting its tone.

AUDUSD lagging and trading both sides of .6550. Aussie CPI report is due on Wednesday and will be watched closely as RBA as interest rates are seen on hold for the foreseeable future.

USDJPY DAILY CHART – WEEKLY OUTLOOK FROM THE GLOBAL-VIEW.TRADING CLUB

The retreat from 161.93 has seen broad unwinding of short JPY position before a pause on Friday. Watch AUDJPY, which has been a leader.

151.84 tested (double bottom) which suggests

152-155 as a potential range ahead ot the key BOJ decision on Wednesday with the upside limited as long as 155 holds.

Watch the 200 day mva (yellow), especially after thge BOJ

How the market reacts will depend on

Whether there is a surprise (e.g. no rate hike) or

How much is already discounted

The key event will be Thursday’s BOE decision where a rate cut is possible in what will be a close call.

1.28-1.29 is the current range with THE KEYBTREBDLKINE AND retracement level below 128 and 1.30 on the radar if above 1.30.36

1.2777 SUPPORT IS ALSO 61.8% OF 1.2612-1.3044 SO THE LEVEL THAT NEEDS TO HOLD TO MAINTAIN HOPE THAT THIS IS A RETRACEMENT.

Tesla’s stock dropped 12.3% after second- quarter earnings missed expectations, highlighting a weak quarter for the company.
Tesla, Inc. was upgraded by President Capital to Buy, price target now $255, up from $185. Fubon Securities also increased their target to $282. Analyst targets range $85-$310, showing mixed views.

Nvidia among chip stocks clawing back. What investors should watch for.
Nvidia Corp. shares (NVDA) are up 2.9% in morning action, while Advanced Micro Devices Inc. shares (AMD) are ahead 1.8%. Micron Technology Inc.’s stock (MU) is ahead 1.8% as well. All three had staged three consecutive sessions of declines prior to Friday.

Nasdaq futures jumped 1% on Friday as megacap tech and chip stocks bounced back after a drubbing earlier this week, while investors hoped for a further let-up in inflation in a crucial data release later in the day.

The S&P 500  SPX  wes set to end the week firmer, aided by rebounds in the megacap stocks that led the index’s declines in the two previous sessions.

Over a $50 Trillion demand increase is expected for H2 of this year in Gold.  If your preference is stocks instead of futures or spot correlated currencies, but you want to spread your allocation with relation to gold related holdings, consider defense related stocks which significantly require gold for product production.  An example would be Raytheon, which builds missiles and radar systems among other things, or other entities involved with satellites or other dependent systems.  Its also a decent addition to hedge against sudden market shocks.

Q: Do I suspect pending sudden shocks looking outward?  A: Very stupid and bad people exist.

Some calculations are showing Dow closing around 403 today unless activity becomes one sided post-pending data.

I need to see trading hold under EU 0880 in futures and 0852 in spot for a bit before I hit the buy side again on this Friday considering the Geopolitical and general humanity risk headed into the weekend.  Odds on favorite is it closes around 0850 barring something dramatic.
