Day Trading Challenge
Traditional prop evaluations can take days or weeks. The Eightcap Day Trader Challenge compresses the experience into one focused trading session.
Choose your stake, your duration and your multiplier. Then trade within the rules and work towards your target before time runs out.
The structure is simple. The execution is not.
Day Trading Challenge – Built for the session trader
Every Day Trader Challenge uses a simulated account with a starting balance of $10,000.
Before starting, traders select:
- A stake from $5 to $500
- A session lasting 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours
- A payout multiplier of 2x, 5x or 10x
- Their preferred trading platform
Those choices determine the profit target, risk settings and potential payout.
A shorter session or higher multiplier creates a more demanding challenge. Choosing the largest available reward is not automatically the smartest decision.
Day Trading Challenge – Prepare before you purchase
The session timer begins immediately after purchase, not when the first trade is placed.
That means traders should have their platform ready, understand the rules and know which markets they intend to watch before beginning.
A one-hour challenge is not the time to download software, explore an unfamiliar interface or invent a strategy.

Day Trading Challenge – Who is it for?
The Day Trader Challenge is primarily intended for active, discretionary traders who prefer short trading sessions and immediate outcomes.
It may appeal to traders who:
- Focus on intraday setups
- Prefer fast feedback
- Trade within defined sessions
- Can make decisions without rushing
- Understand how to manage short-term drawdown
It may be less suitable for traders who wait days for a setup, depend on longer market moves or tend to overtrade when working against a clock.

Day Trading Challenge – A fast challenge still needs discipline
Day Trader Challenges include rules designed to prevent the result from depending entirely on one oversized position or one market.
The aim is to reward controlled execution, not all-or-nothing risk.
Trading takes place in a simulated environment. When a trader passes and satisfies the applicable conditions, the selected stake and multiplier determine the real payout.
The experience can begin and finish within hours. But the best configuration is still the one that fits the trader’s strategy, not simply the one with the biggest number attached.
