XAUUSD (GOLD) UPDATE

• It has been one way up since the start of the week and now the test comes.
  You can see by the chart why 4160 is so important as there is a huge void above it. 4144 (tested) stands ahead of it.
• Intra-day supports 4106-24 but key level to keeping the bid is at 4071..

Forex Market Snapshot

The dollar is trading mixed to firmer with the risk off mood cooling slightly and cross flows a dominant feature in a partial U.S. holiday thinned market.

• EURUSD is up after holding above 1.1541, helped by firmer crosses, most notably vs. the GBP
• USDJPY is firmer above `54 but so far failing to get through 154.50
• GBP is weaker after the UK jobs report but off its low.
• CHF is firmer, helped by reports of a trade deal with the U.S.

Shares of data analytics company Palantir Technologies PLTR jumped 6.9% in the afternoon session after the stock’s positive momentum continued as the company reported strong third-quarter results, which led to a raised full-year sales outlook. In its third quarter, Palantir’s revenue increased by 63% compared to the same period in the previous year, reaching a record $1.2 billion.
