Nvidia earnings inspired USS500 drop did not go far enough and bounce has the record 5673 high back on the radar.

To expose it, 5651 would need to become support.

Looking ahead, I read that sept is normally a seasonal weak month for stocks. Let;s see if the prospect of a Fed rate cut makes this a non-typical month?

EURUSD => Breaks 1.1071 (stops) => 1.1055 => 1.1073

By the way USDJPY 145.50 capped the upside again

The last week of August is usually one where the big guys start setting up for the post-summer market.

This time it seems more a matter of squeezing USD shorts and liquidating rathen than new positioning.

Resistances : 1.10900, 1.11200 & 1.11500

Supports : 1.10500, 1.10300 & 1.09900

Bullish as long as above 1.09100

Weekly Close above 1.10300 would call for another leg up.

EURUSD busts through 1.1071, so just a pause, typical of a liquidating market … note EURGBP is lower, so far keeping GBPUSD above 1.3144

Liquidating market update – Suggests a pause

EURUSD holding 1.1071 (triple bottom)

GBPUSD came close but so far staying above 1.3144

USDJPY so far staying below 145.50

As noted in the article,

The last jobs data out of this administration reminded me that their numbers have been bogus for quite some time.  I pay zero respect and zero heed other than to capitalize on the volatility they create.

USD taking on a bid post-data with bond yieldS up (10 year 3.867%) even though data was a non-event.

GBPUSD extending its low, key support is the former 1.3144 2024 high/breakout level.

USDJPY trading 145+

EURUSD so far holding above 1.1071, getting some support from a bounce in EURGBP

Resistances : 1.31900, 1.32050  &  1.32300

Supports : 1.31200, 1.31000 & 1.30100

Correction unfolding into full scale one .

1.31000 is a very important Support that might decide is this going to be a few days downtrend, or even few weeks.

As long as above it, previous ( and a new one ) high is within the reach.

EurJpy received that hard sell interest overnight I was mentioning last night in early Asia that I thought we might see.  Activity has reached equilibrium in my view for Yen pre-US session.   Prefer the buy side on sell interest exhaustion for UsdJpy.  AudUsd is running into options turbulence and so it will have a challenge to run uphill from here which one might think will aid in supporting UsdJpy although they operate differently.
